It's been said "the money is in the list", but my friend Craig Perrine states that "the money is in the RELATIONSHIP with the list". And I believe he is correct.

If you have a website and you are not building an email list of visitors, you may be leaving cash and opportunity on the table. There are many ways you can monetize a site by building a list. But it is critical that you use the right service, especially from a deliverability standpoint. After all, if your email doesn't get through to the intended recepient, your efforts are in vein.

That's why I use and endorse Aweber as the email service of choice.

The team at Aweber has worked incredibly hard to make sure that email from their servers is not blocked by any of the major spam filters. For just $19.95/month, you can create as many mailing lists as you want. This includes the ability to create signup forms, send broadcast messages and deliver mail on your own schedule using autoresponders.

The service actually provides many more features, including RSS feed-based email. If you want to see how this works, visit my blog at JoelComm.com and sign up for my newsletter. You will automatically receive an email each day, nicely formatted and inviting. Once you see what you can do with Aweber, you will be hooked.

"How do I find high-paying keywords?"

This is a question I am asked regularly.

The problem is that it is the wrong question.

Chasing high paying keywords is not the way to make money with AdSense. But pursuing keywords that have consistently high bids across the board is a strategy that can yield nice returns. In other words, just because the top bid on a keyword is high does not mean the remaining bids will also be high.

That's why I love the AdSense Accelerator.

Developed to extract data directly from Google, AdSense Accelerator shows the bids on the top ten ad placements on Google. This is beneficial because the top bid will often be overinflated for a number of reasons. If you base your content creation solely on the top bid, you may be in for a rude awakening when your clicks don't pay off.

With over 7,000,000 keywords and phrases monitored, AdSense Accelerator seems to do what no keyword list can do... provide up-to-the-minute keyword bids.

I give the AdSense Accelerator two thumbs up!

I did an interview with Roxanne McHenry, one of the creators of AdSense Accelerator. You may listen to it by streaming it via itunes or by downloading to listen on your mp3 player later.

To listen now, click the link below. To save it on your computer, right-click the link below and select "save-as"

Move over Sherlock Holmes, the AdSense Detective is on the case!

AdSense Detective is a web-based tracking tool designed to reveal data that isn't discussed in your AdSense reports.

What kind of data?

Well, Google tells you the number of impressions, clicks and total revenue. If you use channels, you are able to track your sites, pages and ad blocks just a bit deeper.

But that's where Google's reporting ends its usefulness. And where AdSense Detective comes in.

Since the Detective is web-based, you login to your account and grab a small snippet of javascript code. Simply paste it in to your page template and it will begin tracking every page. You don't need to install any programs on your server. And the one snippet of code will work across multiple sites.

Once the tracking begins, Adsense Detective provides you with some pretty valuable data. For example, you can see which search terms people are using to find pages with AdSense ads. Now you might be able to find this data from your web logs, but here you can see which terms that were searched actually result in a click!

You can see which pages had ads that were clicked on. This is way cool for determining which sites and specific pages are your money pages.

Finally, you can see which ADS are receiving clicks. Powerful stuff.

AdSense Detective is a subscription service with varying tiers of service based on usage.

There is currently a 30-day free trial of AdSense Detective available. Click here for free trial
